Self-defense
The martial arts (bujutsu) were founded as a means of self-defense in combat.
Founded in 1961 by Dr. Rod Sacharnoski, Soke, Juko-kai is one of the oldest martial arts federations in the United States and preserves the traditional Asian martial arts as they were intended.
Juko-kai of Garland also strives to preserve the traditional bujutsu arts...
Mark
Johnson, Shihan,
has been a student and teacher of the martial arts for more than 40 years. He began his training in two highly
venerated Shorin-ryu Karate systems:
Matsumura Orthodox and Kenshin Kan.
Upon joining Juko-kai in 1990 he began training in Dr. Sacharnoski's bujutsu arts: Juko-ryu Jujutsu, Juko-ryu Toide, Seidokan Shorin-ryu, Hakutsuru Kempo (White Crane), Shorinji Kempo Karate, plus various traditional weapons systems, including the Japanese and Chinese Swords. He is skilled in many fighting techniques and methods of self-defense, and is one of only a few martial artists in the world to pass the Combat Ki Master's blindfold test.
In 2008 he was presented with his 10th Dan (black belt grading) in Shorin-ryu Karate-jutsu, a high honor that few people in the martial arts ever achieve, and one of only five 10th Dans in Juko-kai.
In 2012 he was awarded his 9th Dan in Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Jujutsu.
In 2012 he was awarded his 9th Dan in Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Jujutsu.
In 2013 he was appointed Meijin, a very high honor in the Martial Arts.
Shihan Mark continues to train directly under Dr. Sacharnoski as one of his personal students.
JUKO-RYU AIKI INYO BUJUTSU
柔 硬 流 合 気 陰 陽 武 術
Juko-kai International is one of the oldest and most highly respected bujutsu federations in the West. It was founded in 1961 by Dr. Rod Sacharnoski, Soke 10th Dan. Since then he has developed the system known as Juko-ryu into a complete bujutsu system that contains the most effective combat arts developed.
Shihan Mark has trained extensively in these arts and holds high level black belt rankings in many of them.
Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Jujutsu: The original system of Juko-kai. Highly effective combat techniques that include throws, takedown and locks.
Juko-ryu Karate-jutsu: Traditional Shorin-ryu Karate-jutsu based on the Seidokan system of Okinawa.
Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Toide: A 15-generations-old throwing and grappling system from Okinawa; this art is also influenced by Aiki-jujutsu and Jujutsu systems of Japan.
Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Kempo-jutsu: Hard-fist and -foot combat techniques that are combined with other bujutsu arts to make them highly effective.
Juko-ryu Aiki Inyo Goshin-jutsu: The self-defense techniques of Juko-ryu.
Juko-ryu Kobu-jutsu: Traditional weapons of Okinawa and Japan, taught as a part of many Karate systems, such as Seidokan. Weapons are also taught in many aiki and jujutsu systems as well.
Juko-ryu Hakutsuru Karate-jutsu: The beautiful White Crane art developed by Dr. Sacharnoski, which is based upon Okinawan and Chinese White Crane styles.
Juko-ryu Ki-jutsu (Combat Ki): The Internal Energy (Ki) arts of Juko-ryu which enable bujutsu practitioners to greatly enhance their techniques, and to also take full-power strikes to vital areas without injury.
As a member of Juko-kai of Garland, all students have an opportunity to train in all of these traditional bujutsu arts (and more). A true martial artist is not just proficient in one art but in multiple arts. This is something that sets Juko-kai apart from most other organizations.
Rod Sacharnoski, Soke

in 1961, which makes it one of the oldest martial arts federations in the
United States. He is a recognized

from the Marines. He enlisted in
the U..S, Army in 1963 and served as a Judo and Jujutsu instructor in the
